It is the desire of OMS that FECP will develop into a strong, indigenous denomination that will plant churches all across the Philippines. In September of 1982, Wes and Margaret Wildermuth arrived in the Philippines as the first OMS missionaries. They began the task of registering and setting up the OMS ministry here. They were joined by Bill and Joyce Oden in January 1983, whose assignment was to begin the first church. Bible studies were begun and after several months, the groups were brought together in March 1984 to establish the first church, Faith Fellowship, located in V.V. Soliven Building on EDSA. Bill Oden was appointed the first pastor. The first years were spent developing Faith Fellowship into a strong self-supporting congregation. Realizing the time for church planting had come, plans were made to begin daughter churches. The name Faith Evangelical Churches of the Philippines (FECP) was chosen for the denomination. Incorporation was finalized in May 1989. The second church was started in Las Piñas in November 1990 and a third one called Seeds of Faith Fellowship, was born in January 1991, located on Marcos Highway near Masinag. From that time on, church planting has been one of the major emphases of FECP. To date, FECP has 11 churches in various stages of development throughout Metro Manila, Central and Northern Luzon. Please note their locations and encourage friends or family in these areas to find and attend a Faith Fellowship near them: |

| There
are also cell groups among the Youth, they are however considered a specialized
ministry rather than a district. In 2005, FECP approved its new by-laws and adopted a revised name Faith Evangelical Churches of the Philippines, Inc. (FECPI). The new by-laws included a change in the organizational structure and operations of FECPI. |
